What are the main points of this chapter?

  1. The chapter in summary starts off as saying that Jesus reigns and is forever the first and the last, and will never change. He holds the key to life and death. Jesus wants John to write down all that he sees and send it to his 7 churches. The stars and the golden lampstands represent the churches.

    John describes the Son of Man in awe. He says he was wearing a robe with a gold sash around his chest. He describes his hair like wool white as snow, blazing fire like eyes, feet like the glowing furnace, and his voice sounded like rushing water.

    The Son of Man says to John, that he is the first and the last, the one who was dead and know alive forever, and the one who holds the key to life and death.

    The stars represent the angels of the seven churches and the lampstands are the churches.
